ROUND 10 THURSDAY 2ND JULY 1st XV ONLY
MATCH REPORTS
1ST XV
AQUINAS COLLEGE 17 v TRINITY COLLEGE 20
Although we won the game this was definitely not our
finest hour of rugby. After drawing with Aquinas a couple of weeks prior
we were hoping that in this return game we would show our true
potential as a team and have a convincing victory.
There were glimmers of this in parts of the game but our
inconsistency, lack of intensity and failure to take our
opportunities let us down. Some may say we were unlucky, we had four
tries held up.
Special mention must go to Jack Connelly who played his
best game this year, he showed great courage and tenacity. In the end it
was the quick thinking of our fly half Sam Harris whose drop goal at a
critical time of the game which helped seal victory for us. Well
done to Sam.
Hopefully our well earned rest will have us hungry for our
next tough encounter against Scotch.
